Metaworx gives you the option to agree payment milestones with your chosen freelancer rather than paying a lump sum at the end.  You and the Freelancer must agree this is the best option for you both, and what the milestones will be. You can agree this through our message centre.

To set up milestone payments simply go to the ongoing projects section from your dashboard, and click on ‘proposals’ against the project you are applying them to.

Click ‘create milestone’ in the top right of the project. Fill in the milestone details and click ‘create milestone’.

Milestones appear on the project screen against the ‘hired freelancer’. As you hit each milestone you will need to click ‘pay now’ to release funds to your freelancer.

TOP TIP! By paying a milestone you are confirming that the Freelancer has delivered the goods. If you cancel the project after paying a milestone you will not receive a refund for that milestone.

When your freelancer’s work is complete, it’s time to close and pay for the service/project.

Simply go to the project or service on your dashboard, select “view detail” and then update the status to complete and then click “update”.
You will then be prompted to leave feedback for your freelancer.

TOP TIP! Feedback helps Freelancers and Buyers find their perfect match. Be sure to be honest and detailed with your feedback!

Cancelling work If you need to, cancelling a live service or project is straight forward. On your dashboard menu locate the project or service that you wish to cancel and select “view detail” then change the status to cancel and update.
TOP TIP! When you cancel a project or service your wallet will NOT automatically receive a refund. You will need to raise a dispute (see 'Disputes') to request a refund.
